My friend and fellow writer, author and critic Roger Ebert will be honored at the 17th annual Gotham Awards for a career of championing independent cinema. Ebert will receive the honor at the Nov. 27th event at Brooklyn's Steiner Studios. WHO IS ROGER EBERT?
As a fellow writer, author, critic and working Hollywood screenwriter I can tell you how hard it is for guys like Roger and me to do what it is we do day after day. Staring at a blank piece of paper and making “magic appear” is a gift from God that only a few of us are graced with.
