Being on the “inside” of the Hollywood system has its perks! Trust me, I know first hand. However, for every perk there is a potential landmine waiting to strike. This past week I learnt two important lessons about survival in “our” town. The first was in regards to a random act of kindness based on loyalty and commitment; the second lesson was about betrayal and the ever consuming intoxication of the “ego” and overnight successes…

Living in Hollywood has many advantages when it comes to "quality of life" issues. You can easily see why million of people move here each year. The problem is just that: MILLIONS of people come here each year without being "screened" or "approved" by those of us who have already lived here for years. We pay lots of taxes as hard working "contributing" citizens of the entertainment community, and we desrerve a right to protect "our" city from people who don't belong here and only come here to take jobs "away" from lighter people. This past few days I had the sad misfortune of spending time with some of those sorry individuals who just don't "belong" in my town...

As a Hollywood celebrity who has been working in the entertainment industry for over 20 years, I pulled my fair share of primo tail. I've dated women
from all over the globe - and I never nailed a chick that was less than an 8 on the looks scale. By the way, I'm talking "Southern California 8" not "Kansas 8" as in the "chicks from Kansas and she only has 8 tooths." Out of the 1,000 plus babes that I have done, some of these were B-level celebrities, including: Jessica Hahn, Joey Lauren Adams, Kobe Tai and Tila Tequila. I have since vowed to never date another celebrity again! I wouldn't exactly call Tila a "celebrity" per say, but it seems that she found a way to "market herself" by spamming people on the Internet. That type of behaviour makes my stomach crawl. Someone needs to regulate the internet and help separate the "wananbees" from those of us who have acheived success and fame the old fashion way - through decades of hard honest work...

It’s been a freaking tuff week – complete with ups and downs and lots of drama. First off I had to come face to face with complete defeat in my own contest. Secondly, I almost lost my new t-shrit model to some white trash villians. The only saving grace was my ability to keep my finger on the pulse of rock and roll. Once again I rolled the dice, and once again they came up Aces!

THE NEW T-SHIRTS ARE HERE! That’s right; the long awaited 100% genuine “Rock Critic” t-shirt have arrived from the factory. These aren’t some shitty handmade shirts from a factory in the middle of Anytown, USA – These shirts were imported directly from China and crafted by a team of Artists. Lenny Kravitz called and ordered 50 shirts for his friends and road crew! The band Orson wants 5 shirts shipped to the UK pronto!

Sorry I took a little break from the Internet. I got tons of emails and
letters from people wanting me to start posting again. Only downside is that
my agent wants me to "hold off" on naming names of "people we work with" and
specific details of "deals in production." Whatever, it's not like we live
in a vacumn, anyone can buy the Hollywood Reporter and read about me if they want.

...After nearly four years of putting up with your bullshit, this site is finally coming down. I thought it would be cool to give ordinary people and extraordinary opportunity to see how the entertainment industry works firsthand by sharing my daily experiences as a working journalist, screenwriter, actor, producer, radio personality, musician and filmmaker who has nearly 20 years in this business.

It’s been over a year since we lost Kip. As time goes by it gets easier to deal with his loss. I try and focus on the fun we had together and not dwell on the tragic circumstances that overcame his life and ultimately took him from us. 13 years just isn’t enough for anyone. Kip deserved a better life, but doing hard drugs is like playing Russian roulette – one wrong hit and you’re gone. After months of haggling with his mother, I finally received the proceeds from the life insurance policy we took out on Kip six months before he passed. I will mostly likely use a portion of that money to help build Kip a proper gravestone. In addition, I will be talking with one of the local universities about establishing a “Kip Wilson Educational Grant.” This will help other less fortunate kids’ see their dreams come true and also keep Kip’s memory alive for years to come.

…They drag me back in! It has been brought to my attention that I helped get a popular L.A. band signed to a record contract. Not the first time that I helped sign a band to major label, but it hasn't happened in the last 15 years. I knew I had great “influence” on people and that people in our industry respect and trust my opinions; I just didn’t realize how much “muscle” I actually had until lately…

..Especially when you win! We hit the Sunset Strip pretty hard last night. My old friend Crazy Ronnie from New York came out for a few days. Ronnie and I were both members of the Pythons streetgang when we were teenagers. We both did time in Juvenile Hall – but while I went clean, Ronnie took the hard road. Rikers Island was Ronnie’s home on and off for the last 20 years. It was great to see him looking so good after all the years of abuse and hard living. This was his first trip out west – he has an interview tomorrow morning, so he’s crashing at my house. If he though New York gang life was hard, he hadn't seen nothing yet...

As many of you know, I’ll be attending a special private Hollywood “A-List” charity function this week as the guest of Mr. Jimmy Smits. I never really feel comfortable at these fancy parties when it gets too “formal.” But trust me, I’m getting used to it! I asked a real special girl I met recently if she would like to attend as my special date/guest. She said she would – but first she had some questions… It seems this girl has been reading my website and is concerned about my growing interest in “recreational” drugs. I explained that she shouldn’t be worried because “recreational” is exactly what these drugs are to me – they are not something I do every single day. I’ve learned the hard way in the past that drugs and relationships don’t mix at all. If I had to pinpoint my worst “drug experience” as it related to a relationship, I would have to go all the way back to 1985...
