At approximately 4:00pm on December 9th, Brett Meisner was removed from his Hollywood Hills home and driven to a private Los Angeles clinic after doctors ruled that his current physical condition was deemed life threating. Brett was unconscious at the time of the court-ordered medical intervention and has since begun an I.V. nourishment program. Doctors expect him to regain consciousness sometime this evening (Monday, December 09, 2002).
We know how important Brett’s protest was to him, but after a series of set-backs with Rolling Stone Magazine and the threat of death approaching, Brett’s business manager, Robin, Brett's parents and several of Brett’s inner circle of Hollywood friends gathered and voted unanimously to allow Brett to receive medical attention – ironically on the anniversary of John Lennon’s passing. For those of you who kept Brett in your prayers and thoughts, we thank you. As for Brett, we hope that he will be available to address the public sometime on Tuesday.
